Lurkers of the world unite

Are you a lurker? Are you? Yes, you....the one reading this post before scurrying off to be unfaithful with another blog.

Y'see, I know that there are more people reading this than ever actually post a comment. And while I'm not in the least bit interesting in getting a colossal number of comments (liar, liar, pants on fire) I would love to know who you are!

Have a look at this diagram which I got from an interesting website. Proof, if proof were needed!

Go on, make my day. Leave a comment. I dare you.

p.s. Regular contributors also very welcome!

No, I am not a lurker. I was before I started blogging because I felt like I had nothing interesting to say and then I was sure that the bloggger wouldn't want to hear from me who they didn't know. Once I started blogging I realized I had been so wrong all about that.

It is amazing to see on my stats that there are daily readers whom I have never-ever-ever heard from. I wonder if they knew how over the moon with happiness I would be to hear from them if they would say hello. Really, hello would be plenty.

I agree La belette, hello, bonjour, buon giorno, guten morgen or anything. ANYTHING! Just to know they were there!

Btw, I bet you thought the title of this post was a new Morrissey song didn't you?

I'm not a lurker. Can I comment anyway?

Hello!! I admit I did lurk for ages. On lots of blogs. It didn't even occur to me to comment. I don't think I even realised there was a comment button! But I do now and am making up for lost time...

I am always amazed at how many people visit my blog from such farflung places.
I try and comment as much as I can because I kind of hope the energy will come back to me.

I seem to get visits from far flung places too, Just a quick note from some one would be nice :)

NSM, consider yourself commented.....heheheh

I admit it! I was a bit of a lurker on belette's blog for a while. That's because I was intimidated by her super writer's style and her location LA, which has always been my dream spot! I think Lily is what made me break the ice. So here I am now. Who can stop me now? So buona notte, Superman, and ciao too. Antonella

Hello, I'm Julie and I'm a lurker!

I used to blog a little and comment a lot. I've kind of got out of the habit of doing both. Anyway, I'm a regular reader, so that's one less person to wonder about ;o)

You'll never catch me lurking, notSupermum!

PS Sorry, I wanted to write "supermum" not "superman"!!!!Must have been asleep while I was writing! Or maybe a Freudian slip?
Ciao. A.

Jane, I do that too - give out what you want back kinda thing? Sometimes though, I just feel I don't have anything to say or add to the post so I don't comment.

Nicola, Tawny, Audi, Antonella - thanks for always leaving such encouraging and interesting comments.

Hang on....fan fare...drum roll...
HELLO JULIE!! Thank you for visiting and leaving a message - it's so lovely to meet you :-) Visit again soon!

I'm not a lurker, I just stumbled upon this blog because I pressed 'The Private Lives Of Pippa Lee' on my own profile. The only people it came up with were me, my english coursework (which I am on now) and you. So clickity click and the reast is (as they say in England) self explanatory.
It's weird actually I only picked up the book because my name is Pippa. I wanted a fellow name sharer to associate with.
Anyhoo enough about moi. How are you?
I'm sure you are super mum really....just a bit modest?
I decided not to be a ready leaver as the whole 'lurking' thing made me feel abit dirty and sleazy. Like we were having a one blog stand or something.
Pippa.

Ps= the profile I'm writing of is a fictional character from Breakfast at Tiff's.

Ooh, another new visitor! Thanks for taking the time to leave a message __________, that's an unusual name you have there. And don't let it be a one night blog, come back and visit again soon.

ohhhh I am so with you! I so wish those "lurkers" out there would leave more comments, although I'm just happy to know that people are reading! I never could have imagined that so many people would care what I have to say!

see you there! said...

I get by and comment fairly regularly. I don't read a whole lot of blogs. I'll comment once or twice on a new one but I tend to stick with the ones who comment back at least once in awhile. I like to think of blogging as more of a conversation than a show and tell.

Indeed I shall.
I do believe we had chemistry, you won't wake to find your taxi money any where in sight.
I know I should start commenting on using my actual own account. But I'm doing coursework more often than I'm writing blogs so...

Here we go.
This is my profile.
Not good old Fred from New York.
It's all a bit home grown.
And a bit too northern not to be nice.
