Take time to smell the roses

Be kind to yourself

Hold your head up

Be spontaneous

Try everything once

Colour outside the lines

Embrace change

Believe in yourself

Do what you love

Eat dessert first

Be nice to strangers

Send thank you cards

Enjoy the silence

Be the change you wish to see in the world

Stop and smell the roses

Play in the rain

Do random acts of kindness

Make time for family

Nurture your friendships

Forgive, even when it's hard

Don't count the lines, count the laughs

Look at the scenery

Don't take yourself too seriously

Send handwritten letters

Count your blessings

Gorgeous. Yes agree with all of those (except perhaps colouring outside the lines which I try to teach my children not to do)!! ;-))

Good reminders. I'm in the mood for handwritten letters (or postcards) at the moment. Want one? Leave me your mailing address at
You never know when the postman will show up at your door :-)

Emily/Maternal Tales - ha! Occasionally though it's good to ignore the rules and do it your own way.

Antonella, I thought these were good reminders, although I often don't follow my own advice :-(

Darla, Yes I'd love one! I'll be sending you my address, thank you.

Savvy Mode - welcome and thanks for the comment. The photo is super cute isn't it?

Rosie, thank you!

Mrs Jane Doe, to be honest I don't go out very often, but I just felt I needed to follow through onthe meditation from the retreat. I think I'll get so much out of it, and it'll benefit my daughters as well as me.

I haven't heard of the book you mention, I'll have a look for it.

La belette, awww...thanks :-)

These are terrific phrases (may even print them out, if you don't mind). Can I send you a postcard too? I have so many and I'd like to share the them! Thanks to Darla for the reminder!
