The Teenager is no longer 'in-waiting'

Yesterday was a milestone in the notSupermum house.  My first-born child; my angelic little baby girl that was; my gorgeous, feisty Teenager-in-waiting turned 13.  Yep, she is now a fully fledged Teenager!

And just to remind us all of how funny Harry Enfield's Kevin the Teenager was, I had to include this which is eerily true to life:

It still makes me laugh, and I've got my very own Kevin now!

Happy Birthday Sweetie x

I know, almost overnight, right? Do love that clip - and Kevin and Perry Go Large (or whatever it was called) - hilarious film. One teenagers could enjoy... although not with Mum in the room.

I've got my very own 14 year old Kevinetta. She's hard work at the mo. Enjoy any calmness before it erupts lol

It'll be fun and games from now on then!

Liz, minute they are little girls, the next they are stroppy drama queens. Incredible!

Aingeal - hello, and welcome! To be honest, my Teenager has been behaving like one for a while now...just hop it doesn't get worse!

Rosie, well you know the saying...when your kids are small they are so cute you could eat them, and when they're teenagers you'll wish you had.

I remember writing about some triplets turning 13 and using that clip, love it!
I wanted to say thank you for your lovely comments on my blog.
So....thank you. x

Wow, I just can't imagine my toddlers as teens... Congratulations!

Thank you so much for your comments on my last blog post. It meant a lot to know you were listening, and that I had so much support. Melt-down over - for now! x

Tessa, how far off are your boys from being teenagers? Good luck with the sullen thing too!

Linda, thanks for visiting. I love Kevin, and Kathy Burke as Perry is just genius.

MTJAM, lovely to see you here. You know that old cliche of children growing too fast is so true. Before you know it your little babies will be tall and gangly and rolling their eyes at you!
