Do you wear make-up everyday?

I can't remember when I stopped wearing make-up.

I always used to wear make-up for work. Even when I had a job that started at 6am I would get up early enough to put my face on before driving to work at 5.30am. I know that I've never worn make-up to work since I started working in a school, so I can backdate it to at least 6 years ago but I think it goes back further than that.  Come to think of it, the job I did where I started at 6am was ten years sometime between 6-10 years ago I stopped wearing make-up on a regular basis. And believe me, it's not that I don't need to wear it - I look eminently better with make-up on but most of the time, well, I just can't be bothered.

I'm not even sure why I stopped wearing make-up, but I reckon it's also around the time I stopped looking after my skin, manicuring my nails and wearing heels.  I still buy heels, you understand, but rarely wear them.  My hair is also a mess. Instead of spending 20 minutes every morning blow-drying my hair, the way I used to, I've adopted a wash-and-dry style and I use the word style loosely.

My daughters always comment on how nice I look when I make an effort, and I usually vow to do it more often but it never seems to happen. During the week I'm usually too tired or in too much of a rush, and at weekends I usually too tired or in my scruff and don't see the point of putting a bit of slap on.

Do you wear make-up everyday? Or if you don't wear it, do you still make an effort with your hair, nails or clothes? Or are you like me and have lost pride in your personal appearance?
